— The problem

Most "Wix Studio" sites still feel like Wix sites.

The platform is genuinely capable. The studios using it usually are not. Four patterns we see in almost every audit:

01

Drag-and-drop, not component design.

Sites built by stacking sections — no naming, no reuse, no design system. Two months in, the team is duplicating layouts instead of editing components.

02

CMS modelled like a checklist.

Posts dumped into one big collection. No reference fields, no separation of taxonomies, no model for cross-referencing. The CMS becomes a write-only graveyard.

03

Velo as a last resort.

Logic implemented via copy-paste form handlers and on-page scripts because nobody on the team understands Velo's data binding and backend lifecycle.

04

SEO retrofitted, not designed in.

Schema scattered, hreflang missing or broken, OG images generated last-minute. The site ranks for its brand name and nothing else.

— What you get

A Wix Studio site engineered like a product.

Each engagement ships with the same nine deliverables — adjusted in scope for the tier, never in quality.

A real component library

15–40 named components with documented variants. Renames, color swaps, and content changes ripple everywhere — by design.

A semantic CMS model

Collections separated by purpose. Reference fields between them. Indexed for query speed. Editors love it because the UI maps to how they think.

Velo where Velo earns it

Member portals, conditional forms, third-party integrations, dashboards. Built with backend separation, error handling, and proper auth.

On-page SEO baked in

Schema per page type, OG per page, canonical, robots, sitemap, hreflang. Validated at launch, monitored after.

Editorial design system

Tokens for type, color, spacing, motion. Documented in a one-page brand sheet your team can use without us.

Performance budget enforced

Image strategy, font subsetting, render-blocking budget. Lighthouse ≥ 90 and CWV in the green before launch.

WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility

Keyboard nav, screen-reader passes, contrast ratios, reduced-motion respect. We deliver an audit report at closeout.

Editor enablement

A 90-minute team handover and a written ops doc — your team owns the site after launch, not us.

30-day care window

Live monitoring of CWV and rankings; two rounds of small refinements; written stabilisation report on day 30.

— Why us

Four reasons Wix Studio teams hire us.

Specialism compounds. After 412 sites, we know which patterns scale and which look fine in Figma but break in Studio.

We refuse to ship a "Wix-looking" site.

If our work makes another agency say "what is that built on?" — we did our job. The platform should be invisible to your visitors.

We build the CMS your editors will keep using.

A model so well-shaped your team adds content without us. That is the highest compliment a CMS can earn.

We treat Velo as software.

Modular code, error handling, naming conventions, secrets in env, code review. Not glued snippets pasted into Page Code.

We finish.

Real launch, not a soft launch. A comprehensive checklist run in front of you. Search Console submission. RSS valid. 404 monitored.

Wix Studio questions we hear most.

Yes — substantially. Studio is the responsive, component-first editor with a real CMS layer. It is closer to Webflow or Framer than to ADI Wix. Old projects do not automatically migrate; we can move yours, but it is a deliberate migration.

Routinely. We ship sites with 1,000+ CMS entries across multiple collections, with reference fields, faceted filtering, and pagination. The platform handles it well when modelled correctly.

Not always. We do an honest audit; if your existing build can serve your goals for the next 12 months, we will tell you. Migration is a real cost; we recommend it only when it earns its keep.

Marketing sites: 6–10 weeks. Sites with Velo backends, custom integrations, or multilingual scope: 10–14 weeks. Always fixed-scope, always fixed-timeline.

No. Studio outputs clean semantic HTML, supports the full schema markup you need, lets us write canonical / hreflang / OG by hand, and exposes the controls Search Console depends on. Used well, it is not a bottleneck.
